I am entering my 19th year of spinning in Detroit. I have always stayed true to the city … there are few who have stuck with it for more then a few years. My career began to take off after I was commissioned in 1991 by Detroit’s premier dance radio station 96.3 WHYT. There , my mix show grew to an unbelievable nightly listening audience of 500,000 people. I have dj’d alongside such greats as Claude Young, with famous guests including Richie Hawtin, Kevin Saunderson, Juan Atkins, and more. I have opened for hundreds of Detroit Concerts including Dee Lite, Usher, Run DMC, De La Soul, Dr. Dre, and more. I have several releases on Twilight 76 and Databass Records and records under the names Dj Dick, Dj Dick Nixon and Sekter .17.
